We had quite a turn out for the last challenge.  Thank you all for your contributions!

We also scored big on the new membership front too!  15 in the last 2 weeks alone making a total of 20 for the whole month of July!  I think that must be a record!

Plan your escape, give details. . .they why, the where, the how.  Would you take anyone with you?  Who?

I’m not talking about a “vacation”, I’m talking about a way out of any worrisome, stressful or emotionally charged situation.  Would you steal away in the middle of the night or leave a note?  Neither?  Both?

MiLord & MiLadies:

Welcome to our 11th writing challenge of the year!  Prior to posting this, I had a couple of ideas running through my head. . .I considered something on the patriotic side as our holiday is coming up, but decided to forgo that idea (we have several subjects in our queendom who reside in other countries).  However, I’ve come up with a bit of what I think is a creative challenge for you this time! 

Have you ever given any thought as to what your front door might be thinking if, indeed, it was able to think?  What observations or thoughts might “run through it’s head”?

Here’s the challenge. . .choose any inanimate object. . . such as your front door, your floor, your closet, your toothbrush!  Anything you want, and no, it doesn’t have to be connected with your house. . .any object you want!  Give it a personality or thought process. . .then tell us what’s going on in it’s head!

This gives you tons of use for your imaginations!  Make it funny, serious, whatever you want!  No holds barred!  This challenge is called:

IMAGINARY THOUGHTS

Remember, you have until the 15th of this month (2 weeks).  Make sure you link to either the blog ring or this site.   Visit and STAR as many sites as possible. . .come back to check on new entries. . . .Out of all the entries for our last challenge, I received comments from only half of those who took the challenge!  I know we are busy these days (and I am the most guilty of staying away from my KoffeeKween site), but try you best to get to each and every entry and start using the STAR SYSTEM!

It’s time for the 2nd challenge this month! 

This challenge was suggested to me in September of 2006 by Terri, but I’ve only just not gotten around to using it!  I think it’s a very healthy, helpful challenge, although I do feel that it may become VERY CHALLENGING for several of our members (especially ME!)

Hi there! I have an idea for a challenge if you are interested. I have been reading alot about life lists and Ellen Degeneres even has one for her show as well as her personal life. It is a list of things you want to accomplish, experience, or do in your life.

Sounds interesting doesn’t it?  Let me set some parameters:

This is a LIFE LIST,

so that’s what we’ll call this challenge.

You should do this as a list of things you want to accomplish, experience or do before you either no longer can, or no longer should!

Let’s say that you must list 5 or more items (I don’t want to hold back anyone, and I think we can all come up with at least 5!)

You can run it as a numbered list with explainations, or just as a list for yourself (no explainations needed, after all, you know your reasons!)

Be as creative as you want to be.  I know that several of you just love using pictures to help get your ideas across, and that’s perfect. . .make this your own!

You can start NOW.  Make sure to come back to this site and let me know so I can link you!

MiLadies & MiLord,

I have been delighted to see so many new faces here in our little blog ring since we began way back in October of 2005!  We started out as a smallish group, but have grown steadily during these many months.  When we first started, I put up as one of the first writing challenges a little ditty I called “Getting to know you Queens”. Because we have a Lord in our midst. . .I have changed the name to something more appropriate.

In this exercise, I asked questions of everyone as a “get to know” each other.  With so many new members, I’m reissuing this easy challenge.  I encourage even the members who have been with me from the beginning to do this challenge as the newer members never saw your first entries!  This is the first of 2 challenges we will attempt in June and will last through the 15th of this month.

Miladies,

Time for a new writing challenge from your blog ring!

I got to thinking last night about what it would be like to be a fly on the wall in certian circumstances. . .you know, like listening to a secret about you, or hearing the REAL story about some celebrity or time in history. . . how interesting would that be?

I’ll dub this challenge:

FLY ON THE WALL

The challenge?

If YOU were a fly on the wall, where would that wall be?  Whom would be having a conversation, argument, fight?  Who would it be about?  You?  Someone else?  How do you think it would differ from what you were taught, heard or thought? 

You can really use your imaginations on this one. . . think “Wider view”  Put your best effort into this one, it may just take you somewhere you weren’t expecting!

Remember to visit as many sites and comment AND ADD *STARS* as much as possible!!

In light of the emotional context of our last challenge, I’ve asked tQ to give me a subject for this new challenge (tq being my daughter, Teen Queen).  Her wonderful response was something I thought was perfect and light enough for this challenge!

Months and months ago, perhaps even a year or more, a very wonderful woman gave me several ideas for our writing challenges.  Her name is REDPOPPY1.  I absolutely adore her because she is such an intelligent, thoughtful woman who always conducts herself in such a lady like manner.  This will be a Pro/Con challenge.  The subject is something that I’ve been going back and forth about for sometime.  Wondering whether or not I should even bring this subject up as it can become quite volatile in some circles.  But I’m gritting my teeth and taking the leap anyway.

The subject will be:

 SPANKING CHILDREN

Your assignment is to take a debate side. . . for it or against it.  Deliver your arguments as clearly and concisely as you can.  What are your deepest emotions on the subject?  Why does your way make sense to you?  Can you convince others of your choice?

This challenge will run through the end of the month unless the turnout is very low and then I’ll add a “quickie” challenge.
