  • Writing Challenge 2006-3 A MOMENT IN TIME

    M’ Lord and M’Ladies:


    Thank you for your participation!  It was most interesting seeing all of the different movies you chose!  What a variety of personalities we have in our blog ring!


    We now have 70 members.  Although 24 of you participated in our most recent challenge, it still constitutes just a tad over 1/4 of our membership.  I think this has been the lowest turnout so far. I do hope more of you will participate next time!


    Here is our new challenge:


    A MOMENT IN TIME


    From the time we are born, until the time we depart this earth, our lives are a series of moments.  Although the dates etched in stone tell our life span, they do not give any indication of all of those moments between. 


    It is in these moments that we experience our emotions, our hearts desires, our loves, our disappointments, our joys, our sorrows.


    Pick a Moment In Time that remains close to your heart.  Just a small moment when everything seemed perfect, when, if given the opportunity, you could have stopped time completely and stayed in that moment just a little bit longer.


    Describe what was happening, who you were with, what the weather was like, what your surroundings were.  Expound on that moment as much as you can.  Describe your emotion, what you may have been thinking and why that moment meant so much to you.


    There are exclusions.  I want a small moment.  Nothing as grand as a wedding, a birth or a contest winning moment.


    Just a small moment that remains in your memory as a time that you would like to have kept just a bit longer.

    I have had an inspiration!  Our new Challenge is as follows:

     

    What is the movie that you have seen that has affected you up until this very day?

     

    THE RULES:

    Give the name of the movie,  and a brief synopsis of the plot.  Tell what effect it has had on you and why you believe it has affected you this way.

    Thank you all for participating in our first challenge of 2006.  I am always delighted with the blogs and the response.  This particular challenge did not do as well as some of our others, but had a good response all the same.  28 of our now 67 members participated! 

    Yes, we now have 67 members!  A warm welcome to those of you who are new, and a kind word to those of you who have chosen to rejoin under another site name!

    I have an idea for our next challenge. . I’ll be posting it next week.  Be sure to check in for the details!

    I trust that you all had beautiful, wondrous Christmas Celebrations!  Mine was spectacular with jewels a plenty!
     
    I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a glorious New Year.  I will take this time to concentrate on the business of getting back to some kind of normality in my Kingdom (Kweendom).  You all celebrate the New Year and I’ll join you back here after the First.

    I am once again amazed!  34 out of 61 members responded to challenge #5!
    The list is still up in the post below if you have not had the opportunity to go to everyone’s entries, you can do that at any time.  Although you may have to scroll through their newer posts to get to challenge #5.
     
    I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you all how lucky I am to have you all in this blog ring.  I am thrilled that I get such enthusiastic response to my challenges, and amazed each and every time I read what you have written.  You give me inspiration, hope and things to ponder.  I appreciate each and everyone of you.
