  • M’Lord and M’Ladies,

A wonderful turn out once again for the last writing challenge!  At least half of you took part in this one!  I hope you all had fun with it!

I have in mind a challenge for a bit later in the week.  A hint:  It will have to do with this last challenge (????????)

    Stay tuned for it!

Thank you all so much for your participation!  Give me some feedback.  How did you like the time frame of this one?  Did it work for you?  Did you make an effort to get around to everyone’s site?  Did you have enough time to do that?

    Enquiring Kweens need to know!

    Pleasent days and restful nights!~Kween

  • Writing Challenge 2006-5

    M’ Lord and M’Ladies:

EDIT: In an effort to make sure this gets to everyone, I am reposting so that this will go to the top of the list and those who haven’t seen it will!

Apologies for the delay in posting a writing challenge.

I have been thinking and thinking and finally decided to go with a wonderful suggestion given to me by M’Lady REDPOPPY1.  The initial idea was this

Things you used to do but no longer do now

I, however, have decided to add a number in there.  So, for the ACTUAL writing challenge, I want you to list (however you choose, what ever your style is):

7 things you used to do, but no longer do: 7 things you want to do but don’t do now.

    TIME FRAME:

This will be due Friday the 31st of March. . .it will run for 3 days. . .making your posting dates Friday March 31st, Saturday April 1st and Sunday, April 2.

    THE PROCEDURE:

Make sure to come to THIS site to let me know that you have posted your challenge and I will link back to you for everyone else to read.

Try to get to everyone else’s sites to post your comments. . .keep the blog ring going!  Show your love to your fellow blog ring members.

In the event that I am unable to link to your site, take the initive and look through the posted comments and go to the sites yourself. . .that link is already there.

Most of all, enjoy yourselves!  This shouldn’t be a difficult challenge, we have all changed over the years and I’m sure there are bad habits (perhaps even good habits) that you have given up or changed.  And most certainly there are new things that you have learned and practice now that you didn’t when you were younger. .

As I stated before, have fun with this. . .I thought about asking for 10, but decided to take pity on myself and scale it down to 7!  And I added the 7 things you want to do but don’t do now as a bonus.  I thought it would be a bit more of a challenge and a good contrast to the first 7.  Enjoy!

I look forward to reading your entries!

Pleasant days and restful nights to you all

  • M’ Lord and M’ Ladies!

As a result of the informal poll I took several weeks ago, I have decided that in order for this blog ring to work, I will need your help.  I will no longer be able to come to each site to let you know that I have put up a writing challenge.  As much as I loved doing that, with 92 (yes, 92!) members, it is just too time consuming, even with virtually the same message to each of you!

I’ve decided that it will be up to YOU to check in.  I cannot promise that we will have a new challenge each and every week, but I will be posting them from time to time!

My hope is that the majority of you will join in without any reminders.  Also, because of the sheer number of members (a great many of you participate each time), I have decided that I will be extending the amount of time spent on one challenge.  Perhaps we could have it run for 2 or 3 days. . .I have not yet determined a time frame.

I hope to be putting up a challenge before the end of this week.

I pray you will join in the fun.

Gentle days and restful nights to you all. . .

  • M’Lord and M’Ladies,

Wow, what a turn out for the “Five”!  I’m thrilled!  We had 49 entries!  Amazing!

We also have several new members. . .2 before the challenge started, and 3 after it was over! 5 new members bringing our grand total of 87 members!

I wanted to get around to read all of your challenges, but unfortunately, I have been heavily medicated with pain pills and found it next to impossible to get around to you all!  Which is so disappointing to me!  I’ll still try to get by at some point.

Thank you all for participating in the “Five” challenge.  I hope you all learned something about yourselves and got a little bit of insight to the inner beauty that you all possess!

Because of our growing membership, I may have to change the way in which I run the challenges.  Having 87 members to alert to a challenge, then to remind the night before is a very large job!

Have you any ideas? Perhaps a once a week check in to this site?  I’m getting stumped (I’m on heavy pain meds, so it’s no surprise!)

Please leave your thoughts and ideas. . .all will be considered!

    Thank you!

May joy and peace surround you,
    Contentment latch your door,
And happiness be with you now
    And bless you evermore.

  • Writing Challenge 2006-4 – “Five”

    M’ Lord and M’ Ladies,

I have been waiting to post this new challenge!

Everyone has something about them that is attractive, yes, every last one of us!

In this society, where youth and beauty are constantly pushed in our faces as the ultimate statement of beauty, I believe that we are missing out on the absolute best, most interesting, and endearing characteristics of the human being.

Because I endeavor to bring out the best in my Kweendom, my challenge is as follows:

List five (5) qualities of your character that make you attractive.

You may attempt this in most any manner that pleases you.  Be it long explanations or short lists, I leave it up to you.  And just for fun and as a contrast, also list five (5) characteristics YOU find attractive in a person.

The field is open, be it what you want in a mate or a friend or merely an acquaintance.

    THE RULES:

DO NOT POST BEFORE THE DUE DATE (unless you have made other arrangements with me)

DUE DATE:  TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH (Next week)

Remember to LEAVE A COMMENT HERE so that I know you’ve posted your challenge!!!  That way I can link you so everyone can come read it!

In return, go to as many of the other sites in our Blog Ring as you have time for and leave a comment.

    Most of all, have fun!

I look forward to reading your lists!

    As always,

    Kween

Thank each and every one of you for your entries!  I’m just so excited that this challenge brought so many of you!  It was a job linking everyone, but I got it done!
