What a wonderful turnout for the last challenge of 2006!  I want to thank all of you who participated!  Sharing a personal story can be a hard thing, but it can also be a joyus one! 

I would encourage all of you who haven’t been through the entire list to make it a point to try to get to all of those entries.  I have read each one and they are all different, some sad, but for the most part they are uplifting and heartfelt. 

I’m so glad that this challenge popped into my head.  Divine intervention?  Perhaps.  I myself was feeling very down this year.  Contemplating not even celebrating the holiday because of financial and personal problems.

After reading these wonderful memories, my heart was changed and I have now thrown myself into the Christmas season.

May you all have the most joyus holiday to date, may you feel the love of your family and friends, may you be filled with the joy of simple things and know that you are loved and appreciated all year through.

God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, great kids and the absolute best of friends, I wish you the same!

On this, the 1st day of December, I have determined the writing challenge for this part of the month!  What I want is your Holiday Story!  Yes!  Your favorite Holiday Story!  Be it Christmas, New Years, Chanukah, any holiday at all!  We’ll call this

BEST HOLIDAY EVER

What ever holiday you wish to write about, just make sure it’s a memorable one to you!

It was brought to my attention that I only put one posting day up. . .let me change that.  I used last years announcement of the challenge with a few changes, and because I wasn’t feeling too well, I forgot how much our membership has grown since last year!  I will add an additional posting day of TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st.  That means that you have 2 days to post your THREE LITTLE THANKFULS,

THE THIRD ANNUAL PRESENTATION OF

THREE LITTLE THANKFULS!!!

Yes, once again I’m doing this writing assignment!  I was going to post it on KoffeeKweens_Korner, but for right now, I think I’ll just keep it here on Kween_of_the_Queens.  I know that a lot of you participated in this last year, but over the course of a year, things can change!  I know I still appreciate indoor plumbing and I still love potatoe chips, but I can no longer indulge in those wonderful treats!   For those of you who participated last year, think of some new little thankfuls!

Newbies:  Please NO little family members!  Remember, just little things, and I do not consider little children little things!  They are wonderfully charming, but they are a huge responsibility!  So shrink down your littles!

I have in mind something for the Thanksgiving Holiday that you can start working on now. . .we’ll post those on our own sites as well….lets make it “postable” the first part of Thangsgiving week, Monday, November 20th.  That gives you plenty of time to come up with your THREE LITTLE THANKFULS.

At this time of year, Thanksgiving, we all know the “big” thankfuls.  . . our famlies, our health, our homes, our jobs. . . what ever. . .What I want you to think about are the 3 little thankfuls that really make your life wonderful that you rarely give a thought to.  For instance, I am just so thankful for indoor bathrooms!  And potato chips (I love potato chips!)  Are there 3 litle things you want to share with the rest of us?  Then welcome to the

I have been thinking and searching and have, through the gracious contribution of others, finally come to a decision about our next challenge. I don’t remember who asked for this and for that I am truly sorry.  I went back 3 posts but could not locate the individual who wanted us to help her out,   This first challenge is, as I stated, to help out one of our own Queens!  Her child is getting married soon and she has asked us to dole out some sage advice for them. 

To accomplish this, I’m asking you to comply with the following parameters for this challenge I have dubbed:

The Sage Five

Please list 5 (five) bits of advice that you think a newlywed couple needs to know.  many of us are married, or have been married for many years.  Please impart the wisdom of your experiences to these young people!  A simple list is sufficient.  If you feel a need to go into detail, by all means do so!  If you merely wish to list 5, that’s fine too!

 I’ll call this challenge:

POSITIVE ROYAL INFLUENCE

Tell us about any “Royalty” (whom YOU consider royalty) that has been a positive influence in your life.  Names are not necessary, but tell us how they have influenced you.  Was there something specific?  How has your life become better because of them?  What are your feelings about this person now?  Can you pass on this positive influence in your life?  We want to know as much as you can tell us!

A not here. . .I need help.  I have been hosting a little something called KOFFEEKWEEN’S HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA for the past 2 years and everyone seems to enjoy it.  I have a problem this year.  My dear friend cndfrnd does not seem to be available to do the web page for me this year.  Do any of you, MiLadies, know how to set up a sperate web page?  I would surly appreciate your help and participation in this endeavor!  I’ve tried to look at sites and read the html, but I am afraid that my limited knowledge of html is just not sufficient to get this done in time!  Any help you can volunteer will be greatly appreciated!  Let me know at KoffeeKween’s site!
