So, I’ve been thinking. (A dangerous pastime; I know.) This blog ring has 140 members. This site has about 220 subscribers and 125 friends. Out of the last three challenges, about 11 people on average have responded. Are the topics just not interesting enough? Are writing challenges just not interesting enough? Is Xanga dying?

No really, I’m curious.

Below is a poll. If you would be so kind, I’d love for you to answer it.

Creative Writing
The creative writing challenges will require imagination and can take many forms, fiction, non-fiction, verse, or prose. Challenges in this category will run the gamut from a simple anecdote to assignments that will ask you to look at an object from many perspectives to create a single image.

Introspective
Introspective challenges will require you to search for answers in your own life and experiences to form a perspective that is uniquely yours.

Debate/Argumentative
In the debate challenges you’ll find yourself choosing sides on an issue and concisely and respectfully presenting an argument defending your points. The more ambitious and creative may choose to argue more than one side.

Other
Anything else you can think of that would be interesting, I’d love to hear about it. If you want to describe your idea in the comments or a message, feel free.

MiLords & MiLadies:

Each year around Thanksgiving I ask you to list the three little things that you are thankful for.  NOT THE BIG THINGS. . . .NOT YOUR FAMILY, NOT YOUR CHILDREN, NOT YOUR CAR OR YOUR HOUSE, but the 3 small things that you never pay too much attention to, but when you think about it, you really wouldn’t want to do without them!  For instance, during the summer there was a 24 hour black out in our area.  Man oh man!  I’ll tell you I really don’t want to do without electricity any time soon again!  It was miserable!  Then a few weeks later my microwave went out.  Talk about dependence!  I knew I didn’t fix enough fresh food!  Fortunately it was the power cord which my husband fixed in about 5 minutes, so I only had to spend a night without it, but you get the idea.  Those small things that you rarely give a second thought to.  What are they?  This will be the 5th consecutive year that I’ve asked this question.  Please make it worthwhile by joining in
