MiLords and MiLadies!!!
Happy New Year! I trust that each and everyone of you made the best of your holidays. . .and my prayers go out to those of you who encountered circumstances that were beyond your control and did the best you could with what challenges you were given. Let’s give a silent prayer for those who lost loved ones, those who are facing astronomical obstacles to overcome, and a moment of silence for those who have left us too soon.
Let’s have confidence that this year will be a better year!
Our first challenge of the year is here! I’d like to give credit to aboutamom for this challenge. I caught it as I was reading and commenting on Featured Grown-up’s last challenge! I hope she doesn’t mind that I use it for our little group here!
The Challenge:
Go through your weblogs from 2007. Take the first sentence from each month and write it down! It’s kind of like a quick look back at the year! For the sake of having a name for this challenge, let’s call it:
ABOUT LAST YEAR.
Remember, let me know when you have posted so that I can link to you. And comment to as many as you possibly can! Give those stars! And, if you would be so kind as to add a link for this blog ring/site in with your post I’d greatly appreciate it!
Make this your own! (Of course, it has to be, it ‘s from YOUR blogs!)

Rats! I was actually looking forward to do the challenge but this I cannot do. I’ve already been nailed by a friend for not facing the new year in a more positive light. He’d never forgive me if I did that kind of recap. Perhaps the next one. Sorry!

Before I go on this, can we get a bit of clarification. You want the first sentence of every blog posted for every month? Or just the first sentence of the first blog of every month? If it’s the former, that’s a Herculean task that I may have to pass on. I blogged a lot last year.

Ok, after I submitted my other entry, and then read everyone else’s, I decided to do the challenge the way it was written. I felt guilty for trying to cheat. So I am resubmitting… I have two entries.
Last year was totally boring, which I found as I did this exercise…sheesh. This year will be better but HERE is the recap.
Mine is up, the linking didn’t work to well though. Hope it’s ok will learn to do it eventually. Enjoy Your Evening my Kween.

This was fun. I have finished the first challenge.
Mine is done. Not as bad as I thought it might be.
I posted… I haven’t been around in awhile, and I can’t wait to get back into the swing. When looking back, the Kweens posts were some of my favorite ones. can’t wait to read everyone else’s!! happy new year!
I think I made it all the way around and visited everyone and commented (why do I suddenly feel like the kid who constantly needs teacher approval?) and I know that I am going to sound like a Xanga dummy but I don’t understand stars! What am I missing?

I’ve almost completed visiting everybody. It takes me some time, and depending upon how long this topic generates response, I might not be able to read each and every entry. I do attempt to do so, however, whenever I participate in a blog topic post on any participatory ring.
I would also like to thank here on the topic blogsite all the nice folks, especially the ones I don’t know (yet) who have welcomed me to the ring.
That said, I wanted to inform you and any interested Lords and Ladies that I just “updated” my entry. I don’t expect anyone to reread it, but after reading some of the other entries, I felt mine was “missing” something. I added links to the entries themselves and put up some of my graphics, but now I’ve added a little something from the body of a lot of the entries so show more of the “meat” of each entry. I even mention in an EDIT that I like this format so much after doing my editing that I might do this every year except do a “best of” post for those who might have missed the articles or entries the first time around.
