MiLords and MiLadies
What a wonderful turnout for the last challenge of 2006! I want to thank all of you who participated! Sharing a personal story can be a hard thing, but it can also be a joyus one!
I would encourage all of you who haven’t been through the entire list to make it a point to try to get to all of those entries. I have read each one and they are all different, some sad, but for the most part they are uplifting and heartfelt.
I’m so glad that this challenge popped into my head. Divine intervention? Perhaps. I myself was feeling very down this year. Contemplating not even celebrating the holiday because of financial and personal problems.
After reading these wonderful memories, my heart was changed and I have now thrown myself into the Christmas season.
May you all have the most joyus holiday to date, may you feel the love of your family and friends, may you be filled with the joy of simple things and know that you are loved and appreciated all year through.
God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, great kids and the absolute best of friends, I wish you the same!
Happy Holidays
Joyus Noel
Fleiz Navidad
and a very Happy New Year!
I’ll see you in 2007 when we’ll start all over again!
I have a special place in my heart for this blog ring and all of it’s members!
May peace and harmony fill your minds and hearts,
~Kween

Oh I so enjoyed reading the stories also. Filled my heart they did. Thank you so much for having this writing challenge. God Bless xoxo Tynee
Again, I want to thank you….this did the same thing for me….brought me out of a little “funk” and gave me a reminder as to what is really important…..what’s in our hearts, NOT what’s under the tree…..THAT is the real reason for the season….and you know, I even made a few, new friends here in the blog ring…so I have to say thanks for that, too….I’d say Divine Intervention, for sure……blessings to you, girlie….
Thank you Jeri, you are the BEST.

Once again, my dear Queen, you have managed to pull off a great challenge with perfect timing! I, too, was having a difficult time getting into the spirit this year, without really knowing why. I’ve really drug my feet through December so far. The reason finally dawned on me while cleaning my FILove’s house on Thurs and thinking about some of the stories I’d read over the last couple of days… I miss my dear MILove. I also realized that it’ll be ok. This Christmas, the first without her, doesn’t have to be like all the rest, it will be different, even though we’ll do the same things as always. I was blessed to share the last 20 Christmases with her, and there will be a huge empty spot without her this year. And, it’s ok. Reading the stories made me realize that Christmas in years to come may be filled with losses, but will have additions, as well. Sons-in-laws eventually, grandbabies of my own one year… much to look forward to. And through it all, the love she had for me as a daughter will carry through.
Thank you, my Queen…. If you ever wonder why you do this blogring; if it’s worth the work…. it is! Merry Christmas and many blessings to you…
ditto… back atcha Queenie

MiLady… as always, thank you for another thoughtful challenge. I think that everyone’s stories have touched someone in some way. I am pleased that it has helped you, especially. I hope you have a joyful Christmas season. Will look forward to more challenges in 2007! Thank you for all you do, MiLady!
I too have read them all and felt uplifted. May this Christmas season be the very best for you and your family.
This was fun!
Merry Christmas! <3 I’m glad you’ve chosen to celebrate, as I’m sure it will do your heart some good…I will pray for the burdens you shared.

Very sweet post ma’lady.
Queen, thank you very much for this challenge and the opportunity to remember my special Christmas. I had always wanted to write it down and print it off for my children, and you gave me the incentive to do it. For me, the timing was good because like so many, I wasn’t up for Christmas either, but I read many of the stories and felt blessed, cheered, and encouraged in what this holiday is all about. The timing was perfect, and I thank you!
My Kween,
Thank you once again for hosting this wonderful blog ring… I enjoy so much participating here and getting to know my fellow Queens! Thank you for all the work you put into it… I can’t wait to see what 2007 holds for all of us! Have a wonderful holiday season!

For what it’s worth, same here. We’re not doing the Christmas thing with presents this year. We’re just going to get together and feast. No one has the money either and…well…it’s not the same without Mom. And maybe that’s ok. Christmas isn’t in presents. Yule is about renewal and new birth–whether it be of a Sun King or a Christ child. I think that’s how I’ll approach it.
I, too, am glad you are in the spirit now. Merry Christmas!
greetings Kween,
I hope to participate in your next challenge in ’07, but until then, I wish you and yours a wonderful heartfelt and joyous Christmas…God Bless!
hugs,
sage
Jeri,
So sorry I wasn’t able to participate this go around. However I am hoping to be able to catch my breath a little after Christmas, and can’t wait until the next challange. Hope you have a great Christmas, and New Year, until 2007 God Bless You, I’m so happy to be apart of this blogring.
